The Humans Blockchain: one step closer to the heart-driven AI

Greetings, future superhumans! We are thrilled to announce that the Humans.ai team is making huge progress on its upcoming blockchain infrastructure, a platform designed to act as the foundation for the AI of the future. The aptly named Humans blockchain will have a development process split into three main phases: Devnet, Testnet and finally Mainnet. After months of work, we managed to kick-start the blockchain infrastructure development process with a clear goal in mind — to provide a blockchain designed to control and execute AI.

A blockchain fit for AI

After extensive research, Humans.ai has decided to build its blockchain framework using Cosmos SDK, an open-source framework for building multi-asset public Delegated Proof of Stake (dPoS) blockchains, leveraging Tendermint Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) as a consensus algorithm for powering the network. Cosmos SDK proved to be an ideal foundation for the Humans blockchain, as it comes with a set of inherent design features and characteristics that aligns with Humans.ai’s goals of putting a human behind every AI while also solving pressing issues concerning the governance, monetization and execution of AI products.

The Humans blockchain is an AI-ready state-of-the-art infrastructure that improves significantly traditional blockchain models with powerful features like:

One blockchain, multiple stages of development

Building a blockchain infrastructure is a monumental undertaking that requires extensive testing and incremental upgrades to its features and functionalities to make sure that everything runs like clockwork. To ensure all of these things and to give structure to the development flow, the Humans blockchain will be developed in three stages: Devnet, Testnet and Mainnet.

Devnet

In the devnet stage, a select number of validators, together with the Humans.ai team, will start to build the Humans blockchain piece by piece, ensuring that all the scripts, all the mechanisms and all the technological hardware are set up and that the infrastructure is working within parameters.

In this early stage, the goal is to make sure that the blockchain can be deployed easily, that rewards are tweaked and distributed properly, that governance and staking mechanisms are in place and tested, as well as additional network fine-tuning operations. Once the network is up and running, the team will test the upgradeability of the blockchain, introducing native models. Stress testing and simulating real-life scenarios are a vital part of the Devnet stage. Overall, the Devnet stage of development focuses on the deployment process of the blockchain, ensuring that the main functionalities are working.

Humans.ai is currently looking into the community to select the first batch of validators who will support the Humans blockchain by ensuring consensus, security, and of course, the execution of AI.

Become a validator!

Testnet

The testnet is the next logical step after the devnet because the team will have already ticked multiple important checkboxes like fine-tuning the reward schema, connecting with a pool of validators to deploy the blockchain network and that the main functionalities of the Humans blockchain are running.

As the name implies, during the testnet phase, rigorous tests will be performed on each and every aspect of the Humans blockchain to ensure that everything is up and running for the mainnet stage. A testnet is a working prototype of a blockchain project.

The goals during the testnet stage are to strengthen the security of the network, grow the community and their involvement as well as train and prepare validators.

Organized as an incentivized testnet, a series of competitive challenges will be made available for the community to solve, preparing them for their role as validators. Each challenge will come with a reward pool that will be split between the three members of the community who provide the best solution.

Validators in the Humans blockchain are split into two categories: validator nodes that ensure the consensus and security of the network and workload nodes that are responsible for facilitating the execution of AI on the blockchain.

The testnet will act mainly as a simulation, a sort of sandbox environment that is continually tweaked and upgraded to pave the way for the mainnet.

Mainnet

Without a doubt, our supreme goal for 2023 is to release the mainnet version of the Humans blockchain.

Once all the stages of the testnet are complete, the validators are set up, all the bugs are eradicated, and all the kinks are ironed out, cue drum roll… the mainnet is officially live. Simply put, the mainnet is the blockchain network fully developed and fully deployed. In our case, it’s the fully deployed version of the Humans blockchain with all the functionalities and features tested and in place.

The mainnet marks an important stage in the development lifecycle of the Humans blockchain, marking the beginning of the live version of the ecosystem in which anyone can come and interact with state-of-the-art AI products.

Keep in mind that if the mainnet is live, this doesn’t mean that the devnet and testnet will no longer exist. They will be a mirror image of the live version of the network, acting like a sandbox environment in which the Humans team will explore and test new functionalities, features and upgrades for the Humans blockchain.
