What you need to know about the Humans.ai Foundation Delegation Program

We are delighted to share the exciting news that the Humans.ai Foundation Delegation Program was initiated on December 22, 2023, with the primary aim of fortifying decentralization, reinforcing network security, and acknowledging the invaluable contributions of our community members.

The Humans.ai Foundation’s mission is to elevate the decentralization and security standards of the Humans.ai network. This commitment manifests through the strategic delegation of a proportion of our token holdings to validators who share a mutual commitment to the enduring vitality and expansion of the Humans network.

Your implication and opinion are what push us forward! So, we invite the community to provide constructive feedback, fostering an environment where the delegation process is fair, efficient, and aligned with the overarching interests of the Humans.ai ecosystem. Together, we are shaping a future that prioritizes the security and decentralization of our network while also celebrating the collective efforts of our dynamic community. Let us delve into the essential program particulars, its timeline, and the steps involved in participation.

The objective of the Humans.ai Foundation Delegation

Humans.ai recognizes and rewards decentralization initiatives, aligning key stakeholders, including validators and developers, with the enduring well-being of the network. A primary focus is to bolster network security by decentralizing the validator set, ensuring resistance to censorship while upholding a fundamental consensus security ethos within the Humans.ai blockchain.

Another pivotal objective is acknowledging and commending validators for their sustained and impactful contributions to the Humans.ai network. The Human.ai Foundation appreciates the substantial efforts of these validators and seeks to institute an inclusive reward system. In pursuit of these goals, the Foundation Delegation Program will identify and delegate responsibilities to a carefully chosen group of up to 35 validators recognized for their significant contributions to the network.

Note that the Humans.ai Foundation will delegate a maximum of 17% of the prevailing total supply on the network at the time of deployment. Additionally, these delegations will take place within a rolling 6-month timeframe to facilitate a proactive and adaptive strategy toward fortifying network enhancements. Together, we strive towards a more secure, decentralized, and inclusive future for the Humans.ai ecosystem.

Timeline Overview

The delegation period spans a fixed duration of 24 weeks, equivalent to approximately 6 months. Validators are required to consistently meet both mandatory and evaluation criteria throughout this timeframe. If a validator falls short of these criteria, a notice will be issued, providing a week for remedial action.

All prospective validators eager to participate in the delegation program need to submit a comprehensive application outlining their current fulfillment of the mandatory and evaluation criteria. The evaluation process will meticulously assess these submissions, with delegations executed from the foundation’s accounts during the deployment phase.

To uphold equity among all validators, a re-evaluation period is strategically initiated before each cycle concludes, enabling cycles to seamlessly progress on a rolling basis. It is important to note that, at the program’s conclusion, the delegation policy may undergo revisions to better align with evolving needs and standards. Together, we navigate this timeline with a commitment to transparency, fairness, and continuous improvement.

Timeframe Phases

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for delegation, validators must fulfill specific criteria both at the time of application and evaluation. It is important to highlight that, under exceptional circumstances wherein validators have made substantial contributions, the Humans.ai team reserves the discretion to consider delegation even if some of the criteria are not entirely met. This approach reflects our commitment to recognizing and valuing exceptional contributions within the context of our delegation considerations.

👉Performance and Participation

The following criteria underscore our commitment to recognizing validators who consistently contribute positively to the network, ensuring reliability, and upholding the integrity of the Humans.ai ecosystem.

👉Validators are required to:

✅Demonstrate a minimum of 3 months of active participation within the network preceding the deployment period.

✅Maintain a commendable uptime record, with a minimum of 90% uptime over the last 3 months.

✅Exhibit a clean slate, having not incurred any slashing or jailing incidents within the preceding 3 months.

👉Security and Decentralization Guidelines

To adhere to security and decentralization principles, validators seeking delegation should maintain a position outside the top 5 validators based on voting power. Should our delegations elevate a validator from outside the top 5 to within this tier, the validator is permitted to retain the delegation for the current cycle. However, they will be ineligible for the subsequent cycle should they continue to occupy a top 5 position.

In addition, validators are required to have no affiliations with centralized exchanges, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a decentralized and distributed network ecosystem.

👉Undelegation Criteria

To ensure the integrity of our network, validators may face undelegation under the following circumstances:

These criteria are in place to ensure a secure, reliable, and cooperative network environment. Upholding these standards contributes to the overall success and positive atmosphere of the Humans.ai ecosystem.

Commission Structure

We have decided to give validators the flexibility to determine their commission rates. As a result, there is no stipulated maximum commission for eligibility in the Foundation Delegation Program.

To ensure fairness across varying commission rates, delegations will be pro-rated based on the chosen commission. For instance, if validator A sets a commission rate of 5% and validator B opts for 10%, both meeting the baseline criteria and accumulating equivalent bonus contribution points, validator B will receive half the delegation compared to validator A.

Consequently, both validators will earn an equivalent total commission, fostering an equitable and inclusive environment within the program. This approach encourages autonomy among validators while promoting fairness in commission distribution.

👉Bonus Evaluation Criteria

Within their application, validators have the opportunity to showcase their impactful contributions to the Humans.ai network. Below is a comprehensive list of various criteria and ecosystem contributions eligible for consideration in receiving additional delegation.
