The Humans.ai Incentivized Testnet sign-up open!

Calling all validators, you can now submit your applications to enroll in the Humans Friction Incentivized Testnet. As the name implies, Friction is an incentivized testnet in which validators will perform rigorous tests on every aspect of the Humans Blockchain to ensure that everything runs like clockwork before we move on to the much-awaited mainnet stage.

✔️ Apply between the 10th — 20th of February.

✔️ We kindly ask you to fill in the form only once.

✔️ Limited seats available.

✔️ENROLL NOW

Grab your tools and get your game on because the signup period for the Friction Incentivized Testnet is relatively short, starting on the 10th of February up until the 20th of the same month.

The Friction Incentivized Testnet marks a critical step in the development of the Humans Blockchain, the first network from the Cosmos ecosystem capable of storing, managing and executing AI in a Web 3 context.

“We welcome every validator, big or small, to apply for a slot in our Incentivized Testnet. Help us bring AI to the Interchain and build the foundation of its first decentralized ethical framework!” said Calin Pasat, Node Foundation Director at Humans.ai.

The Humans Team is proud to announce that during the Gravity Testnet, we have been overwhelmed by the incredible support from the validator community and the blockchain space in general, so we hope to surpass your expectations during the Friction Testnet as we move our journey toward the Humans.ai Blockchain.

What is a testnet

A test network, commonly referred to as testnet, is a sandbox environment that allows programmers and developers to create, modify, upgrade and test a blockchain and other related decentralized applications (Dapps), as well as monitor their performance and resolve some flaws, before making them accessible to the public.

A testnet is usually a replica of the main blockchain network. At the same time, it is an entirely separate network that allows developers and the community to run wild to see what works and what doesn’t and how they can improve the ecosystem. This makes testnets an excellent medium to test new ideas, functionalities, and features without risking breaking anything on the main blockchain.

The focus during a testnet stage is to build a strong community of validators, who will play an essential role in maintaining the network and developers who will populate it with smart contracts and Dapps. In this stage, the testnet also acts as an educational tool, alongside its documentation, to help validators familiarize themselves with the ecosystem’s ins and outs. As testing progresses, developers gather all the feedback and insights and get an idea of how they can improve the platform further before the launch of the mainnet.

Why do we need a mainnet?

A mainnet is a blockchain network fully developed and fully deployed with all the functionalities and features tested and in place.

The mainnet is an essential stage in the development lifecycle of every blockchain network, marking the beginning of the live version of the ecosystem. Keep in mind that if the mainnet is live, this doesn’t mean that the testnet will no longer exist.

The testnet will continue to act as a sandbox environment in which the validators and developers will explore and test new functionalities, features, and upgrades.
