Blockchain has already become for years a technology disruptor that has impacted various business models, processes and supply chains. Given its impact, blockchain is now one of five key technologies — together with automation, robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) — driving the next industrial revolution, Industry 4.0. Of all mentioned, we at Humans.ai believe the AI market can have the greatest positive impact from the integration of blockchain given the challenges with control and transparency.

How increasingly sophisticated technology is applied and controlled is one of the complexities facing synthetic media software, where AI is used to digitally model faces and voices and then add them into film as seamlessly as possible. The technology is now advanced enough that general viewers would struggle to distinguish many fake videos from reality and has proliferated to the extent that it is available to almost anyone who has a smartphone, with no ethical or honesty framework in place.
This is why we made it our mission to build an ethically enabling framework for synthetic media — Proof-of-Human — as we took it upon us to empower the use of AI applications for limitless use cases benefiting society, while ensuring that the technology is available to be used for good. We have already seen cases of “weaponizing” AI through facial recognition and location tracking, discrimination and bias during automated recruiting processes, internet search results, or data misuse to generate deepfakes, fake news, altered voices or faces. Unfortunately, as of right now, there is little to no accountability for AI’s presence in the market and its impact on society.
The three major areas of ethical concern around AI represent privacy and surveillance, bias and discrimination, and the role of human judgment. Several specialized organizations, such as the Center for the Governance of AI at the University of Oxford, the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute at Stanford University, and others, research these issues. In addition, the European Commission has appointed a High-level expert group on Artificial intelligence (AI HLEG) to produce guidelines, requirements and recommendations to address them, while adopting a human-centric approach.
Via the human validators’ system and unforgeable blockchain records, the Humans.ai project has pioneered a solution representing a new ethical era in AI. As AI is utilized to create content and a range of digital assets, we ensure a clear record of contributions and responsibility for every element over the long term. BREAKTHROUGH PROOF-OF-HUMAN TECHNOLOGY
Proof-of-Human is a new blockchain consensus which relies on humans to leverage their biometric data in order to prove that a specific AI is still under close biological supervision. Humans.ai empowers the community to participate in the governance, management and deciding the fate of any AI, essentially making sure that the objective of the AI is aligned with our values.
