Humans.ai created an AI to sing a song during a live event

Hey there, music lovers! Are you ready to explore the exciting world of artificial intelligence and its impact on music? Hold on to your hats because things are about to get wild!

Artificial intelligence, or AI for short, has been making waves in various industries, and the music industry is no exception. From creating new melodies to improving the sound quality of recordings, AI is transforming how we create and consume music.

Humans.ai decided to show off its fancy technology at the Boekenbal event - the Dutch Book Week Ball, a yearly shindig in the Netherlands that celebrates the start of the Dutch Book Week.

We wanted to prove that artificial intelligence could sing beautiful music with an AI avatar. So we tasked our team of 3D designers with creating a snazzy synthetic avatar to rock out to a song during the event.

Now, here's the tricky part: we had to train the AI model to understand that that is a song and get the avatar to sing along with the right words at the right time (sync the lip movements and the verses of the song). The first challenge was to make our AI model recognize that the audio it received was a song. After that, the focus shifted to the lyrics of the song and how to train the AI avatar to sing them. To make matters even more challenging, the song was in Dutch. But after days of hard work and dedication, Humans.ai's technology finally cracked the code and understood the music and lyrics like a pro.

With everything in place, it was time for the big moment: the avatar's time to shine! And boy, did it deliver. The avatar sang its digital heart out and gave a truly impressive performance. Don't believe us? Give it a listen for yourself!

How AI can change music as we know it

Music can be changed in many ways by artificial intelligence algorithms.

One of the most significant ways AI changes music is by helping musicians and producers create new sounds and compositions. With the help of machine learning algorithms, AI can analyze thousands of songs and identify patterns in the music, which can then be used to generate new melodies and chord progressions. This is especially useful for artists who suffer from writer's block and need inspiration to kickstart their creative process.

And that's not all! AI can also help improve the quality of recordings by removing background noises and enhancing the sound quality. This means that even amateur musicians can produce high-quality recordings without needing expensive recording equipment.

AI is also transforming the way we consume music. With the rise of music streaming services, AI algorithms are used to recommend songs and playlists based on a user's listening history. As such, the more you listen, the more accurate the recommendations become, resulting in a personalized music experience tailored to your taste.

What about the future? Well, the possibilities are endless. Some experts predict that AI will be able to create completely new genres of music that have never been heard before. Imagine a fusion of jazz and hip-hop or classical and techno. The possibilities are truly mind-boggling.

Of course, there are some concerns about AI taking over jobs traditionally done by humans, such as composing and producing music. But let's not forget that AI is a tool, and like any tool, it requires human input and creativity to be truly effective. It's also important to remember that AI cannot replace human emotion and expression, which are integral to composing music.

The future of music looks exciting and full of possibilities when we integrate AI. From creating new sounds to personalized music recommendations, AI is revolutionizing how we create and consume music. So, let's embrace this new technology and see where it takes us. Who knows, we might just discover a whole new world of musical wonders!
